Debate Topic: Are societies around the world overreacting or underreacting to climate change?

For some Climate Change is the biggest existential reality of our time, for others, it’s a gross overestimation punctuated by political bias and possibly an infringement on personal liberties. Are we over-reacting or under-reacting? What side are you on?

Under (side): Daniel Sanderson (event host), bio at https://planksip.me/SFU

Over (side): Rick, the following is from his bio on his Debate Time! Meetup, “I enjoy debating and moderating most topics out there. I love diving deep into controversial topics. For my personal views, I am Libertarian, Christian, and drinker of Gin.”

7:00 – 7:20: welcome and introduce yourself
7:20 – 8:20: Debate Time!
8:20 – 9:00: Q&A
